Where ever khalid has performed EK SHAAM TALAT MAHMOOD KE NAAM concerts Talat fans have always been there to welcome him with open arms. Khalid says with the deepest gratitude: "I will never be able to find enough words to say 'thank you' to the ever loving and ever gracious Talat fans who are always there for me. On all my concert tours, their presence, their love, their warmth and their affection gives me a tremendous sense of belonging. They have shown me that my father will live in their hearts forever and that I too have a place in their hearts right next to my father's. There can be no bigger gift for me in this world today than this unconditional love of Talat fans !"

For longtime Talat fans Ravi and Meena Abhang from San Francisco their dream to pay homage to Singing Legend Talat Mahmood comes true! They got a chance to meet Khalid during his USA Concert Tour and this chance meeting developed into a deep bond of friendship. Khalid was drawn to them by their sincerity, deep love and respect for his father. In turn Khalid invited them to spend a weekend at his residence in Mumbai. The photo above shows from right to left: Khalid Mahmood, Mina Abhang, Khalid's wife Reena Mahmood and Ravi Abhang at the Talat Mahmood Residence in the posh locality of Bandra in Mumbai (nicknamed 'Beverly Hills of India' due to the huge concentration of stars living there!)

TALAT FANS FROM KENYA

When Talat embarked on his historic concert tour of  EAST AFRICA in 1956 making him the first ever Indian singer to perform abroad, Kishore Kotecha was there to see all Talat performances during that concert tour! He has remained a staunch Talat fan ever since. On a trip to Mumbai in December 2007 he completed his homage to the legendary singer by visiting the Talat residence and spending an evening with Talat's family. Seen in the photo above are from right Kishore Kotecha, his grandson Sahil, Khalid, Kotecha's daughter Parool, grand-daughter Riya, Khalid's wife Isha and Koecha's wife Mrs. Vimla Kotecha.
